COTW School Opening: Middle School Campus

Our member school, Citizens of the World (COTW), is adding a new school to the Coalition!

COTW is opening up a middle school campus starting in the 2019-2020 school year. In its opening year the middle school will serve grades 6-8. The foundational components of the school’s program are a Learning Fellowship in which small groups of students learn skills such as mindfulness, leadership, service, and habits for lifelong learning; Explorations allowing students to participate in basketball, soccer, yoga, and martial arts, as well as music, competitive drama, and dance; Layered Math Instruction giving individual and accelerated support to students; and Interdisciplinary Courses including concepts and issues in the context of political, economic, social, and cultural development. The Middle School campus of COTW will be led by School Director, Alisha Gripp.
