RIDES Session 2: Sharing ways of keeping race and equity on the table during the pandemic

Join the RIDES Institute for a discussion among school leaders moderated by Dr. Darnisa Amante-Jackson, Dr. Mary Anton, and Dr. Lee Teitel. Session 1 will focus on opportunities attendees see in their planning for reopening schools next year to keep race and equity at the center. Recognizing that we will not be returning to the “old normal,” you may find it useful to think of these three sub-questions:

1. What aspects of the way your site has addressed race and equity in the past (before the pandemic) do you want to make sure to return to?
2. What aspects do you want to make sure you don’t return to?
3. What are some innovations and adaptations that are taking place during the pandemic –that are actually reducing inequities — that you would like to hold onto?
