Event Details

This event is hosted by the COVID Collaborative.

The United States is at a key moment in the COVID-19 crisis—with hope for a new normal as vaccines are distributed across the country, and concern over a potential next surge driven by new variants and easing of public health restrictions. With the release of the American Rescue Plan and the goal of the Biden-Harris Administration to open the majority of K-8 schools by May 1, safely and sustainably reopening schools and the economy is of vital importance.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the Director of the Centers of Disease Control, joins the COVID Collaborative for a fireside chat, moderated by former Governor Dirk Kempthorne (R-ID) and Governor Deval Patrick (D-MA) on this critical topic.

The event will be co-hosted by the Infectious Disease Society of America, the County of the Great City Schools, Chiefs for Change, and the American College Health Association.
