As we continue to recover and reimagine in the wake of the pandemic, young people, parents, and educators have elevated mental health as a top priority. School communities are seeking better strategies and deeper support to promote student (and adult) well-being. In recognition of National Mental Health Awareness Month, we are excited to welcome the following panelists:

Participants will leave the webinar with insights and resources for incorporating effective family engagement practices into their student mental health and well-being initiatives. Join us for a conversation with these experts and educators who will discuss the following:

• Evidence-based and actionable strategies to support student well-being both in- and out-of-school

• Roles for families, schools, and community members to support social, emotional, and academic development

• How to prioritize mental health from the early grades through college

• The effects of social media on young people’s emotional well-being

This webinar is the fourth in a series of conversations designed to boost family engagement practices between school and home. The six-month Family Engagement Learning Series, produced by the U.S. Department of Education in partnership with Carnegie Corporation of New York and Overdeck Family Foundation, will explore bright spots in the field and provide education leaders and practitioners with resources and evidence-based strategies to support student success.
