We are a movement of diverse-by-design schools across the country working towards school integration and creating exemplars of excellence. By bringing more schools into our coalition, we expand our movement and help more diverse-by-design schools grow, learn from each other and improve.

DCSC is proud to announce our four newest members – they add 17 individual schools and 6,000 students to the Coalition. Join us in welcoming our new members and meet them at our convening next month!

Hill Day Visit
The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools and DCSC will host a Hill Day Visit the morning of Friday, January 31. This is an opportunity for members of the Coalition to visit their elected representative and advocate for our work. Note that the Hill Day Visit will conflict with Friday morning school visits. Space is limited. To RSVP for the Hill Day Visit, email events@diversecharters.org.

Member of the Year Award Finalists

Each year, DCSC celebrates a member school or network as an exemplar of diverse-by-design communities. From publicly available data, along with internally collected metrics on membership engagement, we selected finalists that might inspire other members invested in this movement.

We will award our Member of the Year during the Annual Convening in January.

Congratulations to our finalists:
Central Queens Academy Charter School
City Neighbors Schools
High Tech High

4.0 School Tiny Fellowship

Congratulations to Cohort Two Fellows, Genevieve and Phillip, who were awarded the 4.0 School Tiny Fellowship. The fellowship provides training and financial support to pilot our fellows’ school models.
